The Venetian is a casino and hotel resort in Macau. It propobly is the coolest casino there. The design is modeled on its sister casino The Venetian in Las Vegas. With its 3000 suits and hunderets of thousands sq ft of space is the largest hotel building in Asia.
Gambling in Macau started in 1850s when the Portuguese government legalized it. After that Macau has become famous worldwide as the “Monte Carlo of the Orient”.
Inside the retail spaces are imitating the look of the original Venice in Italy. There is a “Canale Grande” and “St Marks Square” as well as other venetian spots. You can even have a ride in gondola just like real thing.
Gondoliers will serenade you as you take a leisurely ride through the San Luca, Marco Polo or Grand Canals, aboard the beautifully vrafted Venetian gondolas. Photographs are available as a couvenir to take home with you as a memory of wonderful ride.
